5 Things You Should Do For Your Skin Every Day

Your skin is something that you can’t change like a haircut or pair of pants.  You carry it with you your entire life, and it is a direct reflection of how well you treat it.  Unless you’d like to look wrinkled and worn out at a young age, it’s in your best interest to take care of your skin as best you can.

Although there are all sorts of extra products and services that you can buy to help you get beautiful skin, you should minimally be doing the following things every day.

Wash Your Face

Your skin is a canvas that takes on everything that it comes into contact with throughout the day.  Whether it’s pollutants from the air, grease from your hands, or makeup that you apply, it’s important to wash your face at the end of every day to clear the slate.

When you fail to wash your face regularly, you won’t just be more prone to acne.  Your skin will start to take on a dull, and your pores will become clogged.

Make sure that you wash your face with a mild cleanser at least once a day followed by a toner or micellar water to get the last bits of dirt that remain.

Exfoliate

When a lot of people think about exfoliation, they think of a harsh grainy cream which leaves their skin looking red and patchy after application.

However, these kind of exfoliants are harsh for your skin and create abrasions which aren’t good for your skin long term.  By exfoliating daily with a soft powder exfoliant, you will gently wash away dead skin cells so that you can reveal new radiant skin.

Moisturize

Your skin is stripped of all its natural oils after washing and exfoliating.  Therefore, you should revive its moisture by applying cream after washing.

Depending on your skin type you may opt for a lighter or heavier formula.  People who are naturally inclined towards acne should opt for a lighter cream, while people with dry to very dry skin should get something thick.

Apply Sunscreen

Many people save sunscreen only for the days when the sun is shining.  However, the sun can do significant damage even on cloudy days.

Always follow your moisturizer with an SPF of 20 or more.  Your skin will look younger for longer, and you’ll guard against cancer.

Drink Water

Many experts recommend drinking water throughout the day.  As a result, your body won’t just feel better, but your skin will look more radiant and hydrated.

Try to keep a glass on your desk all day and drink regularly.  After a month you’ll start to notice a significant difference in the quality of your skin’s appearance.
